Oracle DBA - Financial Services / Banking Domain

We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA with a strong background in financial services (BFSI) environments. The role focuses on managing mission-critical databases that support high-volume, secure, and compliant financial transactions. The ideal candidate should have expertise in high availability, performance tuning, and regulatory compliance., * Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c or higher) in production environments

• Manage high availability setups including RAC, Data Guard, and ASM
• Implement and monitor backup and recovery strategies using RMAN
• Perform performance tuning for high-volume transactional systems (OLTP)
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with financial regulations (SOX, PCI-DSS, etc.)
• Handle database patching, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime
• Monitor database performance, capacity planning, and system health
• Support audit requirements and maintain documentation for compliance
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and ensure SLA adherence

• Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration
• Hands-on expertise in RMAN, RAC, ASM, Data Guard
• Proven experience in BFSI / banking / financial services environments
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization
• Good understanding of SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems
• Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• Knowledge of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning
• Understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Exadata environments
• Knowledge of GoldenGate replication
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Oracle Cloud (OCI))
• Experience with automation/scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Domain-Specific Requirements (Finance/BFSI)

• Experience handling high-volume, low-latency transaction systems
• Knowledge of core banking / trading / payment systems
• Exposure to regulatory and audit frameworks (SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR where applicable)
• Experience in data masking, encryption, and access control
• Ability to work in 24/7 production support environments
