Cloud Solution Architect

Strong attention to detail, strong analytical skills, problem solving and reasoning abilities\n \n Ability to evaluate and filter new functional developments and communicate those with relevance to the Company for adoption\n \n Ability to make connections between previously unrelated notions, actively research and apply new technologies using reason and logic and analyze relevant information to make effective decisions.\n \n Ability to develop and maintain deep relationships across the company at all levels of the organization\n \n Utilizes in-depth knowledge of energy industry concepts and practices to tailor individual and team activities to significantly contribute to the Company¿s strategic goals\n \n Demonstrated ability to implement mechanisms to monitor and evaluate programs for their effectiveness and quality\n \n Deep understanding of Cloud Solution Architecture approaches, industry standards, and best practices\n \n General understanding of Application Architecture, Automation and Orchestration, Governance, Integration Architecture, Outsourcing/External Hosting, Security, Communication and Collaboration, Finance/Legal, Procurement/ Vendor Management, Program Leadership, Thought Leadership and Change Management\n \n, Bachelor¿s degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in technology and five to seven years related experience with at least two years of experience with M365/Azure Cloud deployments, Cyber/Information Security, Third Party Risk and Compliance or the equivalent.\n \n Enterprise Architecture and/or Cloud Certification and CSSP, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP or related certifications a plus.\n \n Experience in solution design or cyber/information security \n \n COMMUNICATION SKILLS: \n \n Strong verbal and written communication skills\n \n COMPUTER SKILLS: \n \n Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, and project management software \n \n Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Share Point and GRC solutions.\n \n ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY: \n \n Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to troubleshoot highly complex or obscure problems. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. The Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for representing Enterprise Architecture on teams responsible for overseeing PNMR's cloud computing strategy. This includes cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud governance, management, and financial monitoring. The Cloud Solution Architect will lead a cloud governance team for application and infrastructure architecture and deployment in PNMR strategic cloud environments.\n \n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: \n \n Represents Enterprise Architecture on teams responsible for developing strategic cloud guidance, architecture, governance, and planning for cloud delivery models such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, and help to coordinate adoption for same\n \n Generates cloud migration roadmaps and driving buy-in across the organization\n \n Crafts strategy for multi-cloud across PNMR strategic cloud platforms\n \n Analyzes application and infrastructure portfolios, identifying dependencies & common platform components, and assessing migration feasibility\n \n Performs cost/benefit modeling and creates compelling business cases for migration\n \n Architects hybrid cloud and on-premise solutions for technology clusters and patterns\n \n Drives hybrid solution architecture, strengthening our capabilities and services in the orchestration, automation and targeted service layers\n \n Implements cost optimized solutions (based on usage, business requirements and budget)\n \n Leads application migration projects including optimizing technical reliability and improving application performance\n \n Adopts cloud integration patterns with on-premise applications, cloud providers or other platforms\n \n Understands and champions cloud lifecycle management, help evolve the business to expand this footprint\n \n Collaborates with consulting and managed services partners to build and execute migration plans\n \n Articulates advantages, disadvantages and extent of differentiation and risk across PNMR¿s cloud platform options\n \n Builds, migrates, and test cloud environments and integration with other providers\n \n Pursues innovation and improvement across the cloud service portfolio\n \n COMPETENCIES: \n, n PHYSICAL DEMANDS: \n \n Regularly required to stand, walk, and/or sit up to 2/3 of the time.
