Oracle Database Administrator

To drive the growth agenda in Managed Service, IMS, we are currently looking for a Oracle Database Admin to join the Database support team. Within this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and support of a large-scale enterprise servers. Server Technicians are required to work to a shift pattern that spans 08:00 - 18:00. Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

• Collaborating with the Operations Manager and partnering with the Senior DBA.
• Monitoring and optimising memory usage.
• Fine-tuning physical I/O.
• Observing and managing lock activity.

• Professional experience with Oracle
• Professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
• Professional experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience working with Linux-based platforms
• Experience in database administration
• Familiarity with virtualisation technologies
