Job description
Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC(Hybrid). You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data-driven applications to support Financial Crimes technology and collaborating with business partners to define and implement system requirements. Rate Range: $60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Data Engineer job responsibilities include: Designing, developing, and maintaining complex data applications to support Financial Crimes technology initiatives. Writing and optimizing SQL/BTEQ scripts, developing Unix shell scripts, and working with tools like Teradata, TPT, Autosys, and Informatica IICS. Collaborating with business partners to gather requirements, refine user stories, and deliver data solutions through Agile methodologies. Building and automating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible. Supporting production systems, managing platform upgrades, and ensuring adherence to change management and enterprise standards. Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or related software development roles. Strong hands-on experience with Teradata, SQL/BTEQ scripting, Unix shell scripting, and data analysis. Proven expertise in Agile development, CI/CD practices, and tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Informatica IICS.
