Software Engineer

• Design, develop, and test scalable software solutions that support manufacturing operations and customer requirements
• Lead and contribute to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements through deployment and support
• Build and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using C# and .NET / .NET Core
• Integrate industrial equipment and automation systems with enterprise and cloud-based platforms
• Analyze complex business and operational data to improve system efficiency, reliability, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, IT, and external stakeholders
• Apply Agile, Lean, CI/CD, and software engineering best practices to deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve complex defects
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor on large-scale software development initiatives
• Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, quality standards, and safety policies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core in backend development
• Proven experience building and supporting RESTful APIs and microservices
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, and transaction management
• Experience with equipment integration within manufacturing, automation, or industrial environments
• Experience working with JSON, XML, OData, and modern data exchange formats
• Familiarity with networking and security standards for enterprise or industrial systems

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience

• Experience with OPC UA or other industrial communication standards
• Messaging or event-driven architecture experience using RabbitMQ (or similar brokers)
• Exposure to IoT platforms, MES systems, or digital manufacturing applications
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD and source control tools
• Experience working in globally distributed or hybrid teams

This is a Contract position based out of Exton, PA. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $64.00/hr.
