Software Engineer

We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineer to support embedded systems, scripting, and UI development for proprietary instrumentation. This role involves playing a key part in owning and evolving our software stack while collaborating closely with hardware and instruments on-site., * Develop and maintain software for embedded systems.

• Strong experience in C for embedded/backend development.
• Proficiency in working with Python for UI or scripting tasks.
• Ability to work on-site and interact directly with instrumentation.
• Self-directed and capable of managing workload independently.
• Junior to mid-level experience in software engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with MATLAB (legacy use; transitioning away).
• Exposure to embedded systems and instrumentation.
• Basic project leadership, capstone experience, or meeting facilitation.
• Knowledge of RTOS, AWS, or microcontrollers.

This is a Contract position based out of State College, PA. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.08/hr.
