Job description
As a Software Product Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding, evaluating, and spearheading the integration of our navigation partners' extensive suite of in-vehicle technologies and services. This includes, but is not limited to, navigation application data, SDKs, and other relevant data points leveraged to enhance vehicle navigation, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and other critical features. - Analysis: Thoroughly analyze and comprehend the capabilities, limitations, and integration requirements of navigation in-vehicle technologies and APIs.
- Collaboration: Partner with UX, development, and cross-functional teams to architect and implement seamless integrations of navigation solutions.
- Innovation: Identify opportunities to leverage navigation data and services to enhance existing features or enable new, innovative functionalities.
- System Integration: Ensure the reliable and efficient integration of navigation, mapping, and related data points across various vehicle systems.
- Technical Research: Proactively explore and evaluate emerging technologies and trends within the navigation ecosystem to identify potential future integrations.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of navigation-powered features.
- Cloud & Data Streaming: Experience working with cloud platforms and real-time data streaming services to support connected vehicle features.
- Situational Awareness: Design and implement features that leverage real-time road safety data and crowd-sourced event notifications to provide drivers with proactive alerts regarding upcoming road hazards and changing environmental conditions.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in software development, with experience in languages and frameworks commonly used in the automotive industry (e.g., C++, Java, Python).
- Domain Expertise: Familiarity with navigation technologies, ADAS, and other related vehicle systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to think strategically, and a collaborative mindset.

- Experience: Proven experience as a Software Product Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in integrating third-party APIs and services.
- Industry Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the automotive industry, in-vehicle systems, and the navigation ecosystem.
