Job description
A Senior Data Analyst is sought to support the implementation of an Enterprise Data Warehouse & Analytics solution for the State of Connecticut. This is a long-term initiative focused on operational, state, and federal Medicaid reporting, including MARS and T-MSIS. The position requires healthcare domain knowledge, experience translating business needs into technical documentation, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams, clients, and vendors., * Collaborate with client and State subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
- Lead internal and external walkthroughs of requirements documentation and obtain formal approvals.
- Create and maintain T-MSIS Source-to-Target mappings.
- Develop, update, and maintain Detailed System Design documents (DSDs).
- Partner with client SMEs to review test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Execute MAR and T-MSIS cycles, including validation and reconciliation activities.
- Participate in project meetings, capture meeting notes and action items, and ensure timely follow-up and resolution., The role is situated within a matrixed implementation team led by a central PMO and supported by functional leads across major workstreams. The Senior Data Analyst will report to the State and Federal Reporting Manager.
Requirements
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience eliciting, analyzing, validating, and documenting functional and non-functional business requirements.
- 3+ years of experience within the Healthcare industry, with a focus on data warehousing, data analysis, or decision support systems.
- 2+ years of experience managing project controls, including issues, risks, requirements, scope, and schedules.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience working with SQL and BI tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Ability to analyze database data, dashboards, data lineage, and integrations with backend systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio., * Experience with Snowflake.
- Direct Medicaid experience, including Claims, Member, and Provider data.
- Experience with MARS and/or T-MSIS reporting.

Benefits & conditions
The pay rate for this position is $30.00 to $34.00 per hour. The work arrangement is 100% remote, with work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
