Job description

This role supports distribution center operations by assisting in IT support, system setup, and deployment activities in preparation for peak season. As a member of the local IT team, the individual will help maintain high standards for system uptime and availability while following established documentation, standards, best practices, procedures, and processes. Key responsibilities include hands-on installation, configuration, and rollout of end-user hardware and devices, with an initial focus on deployment rather than heavy troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Strong IT support fundamentals, including Windows device setup and configuration.
  • Experience troubleshooting PCs, desktops, tablets, scan guns, and printers.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting distribution center or warehouse environments.
  • Experience working within corporate IT operations and collaborating with local IT teams.
  • Ability to follow procedures and handle high volume, repetitive deployment work with accuracy.
  • Reliable, coachable, and comfortable working in a process driven environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in an office and warehouse setting.
  • Ability to lift items up to 30 pounds and perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
  • Vision requirements: ability to view information in print and electronically., * Experience with Zebra devices (handheld or wearable); training can be provided for candidates who are process driven and eager to learn.
  • 2+ years of experience with backup technologies, high end storage solutions (Hitachi SAN preferred), SCCM, or system/event management tools.
  • Experience installing, maintaining, securing, and monitoring operating systems.
  • Familiarity with IT service management processes such as Patch, Change, Configuration, Release, and Problem Management.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast paced environments during peak operational periods.
