Job description
This position is responsible for utilizing the decision support tool to identify opportunities, implement best practices, and establish reporting mechanisms that can generate measureable results to meet the needs of managers, directors and senior management.
Essential Job Functions
-
Responsible for data collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation to support decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Works with hospital clients to develop analysis pertaining to utilization, cost, profitability, trend and variance reports as well as ad hoc requests as necessary.

Supports decision makers in using appropriate analytics tools and processes in order to perform data analysis.

Facilitates strategic decisions through optimized reporting and analysis.

Develops and prepares dashboards and routine reports for management distribution.

Provides basic training and support to external departments.

Provides data for external reporting as requested.

Maintains a clear line of communication with assigned client hospitals and provides excellent customer service.

Effectively manages time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and on time.

Report any anomalies with the DS system to the DS and Cost teams.

Licensure/Certification Preferred: CPA, CMA, CHFP
Minimum Qualifications

2 yrs. financial analysis
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Comprehends business concepts. Communications skills, both written and oral.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred
Four or more yrs. financial analysis/reporting in healthcare environment.
Combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.

Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.

Long-distance or air travel as needed- not to exceed 10% travel.
