Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SIWS) is seeking an Associate or Mid-Level Computing Architect (Level 2 or 3) to support network infrastructure at the Starfire Optical Range on Kirtland AFB (Albuquerque), NM.

This role will provide support to the information technologies team at the site to ensure the reliability of the networks and IT infrastructure that are critical to operations. The position requires hands-on, on-site engagement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of server, network, and computer systems to ensure optimal functionality
  • Install, configure, and manage computer and server hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and patches
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory and other systems
  • Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems.
  • Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Provide support to resolve complex technical issues
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2-7 years of experience in a system administration role
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS
  • Experience with Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with hardware, including servers, workstations, and peripheral devices
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • DOD Security Clearance - Secret or equivalent, Top Secret preferred
  • Must be 8570 Certified - Minimum of CompTIA Security+ Certification, This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee., Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Required, This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

(Level 2) Summary pay range: $95,200 - $128,800

(Level 3) Summary pay range: $117,300 - $158,700
