Cobol Programmer

For a long-term project in the public sector (EU Digit 2030 KPM project), we are looking for several experienced COBOL Developers (m/f/d) with a focus on mainframe modernization and transformation of existing applications. 6 months, then remote possible) Language: English (project language), German/French/Dutch are a plus Further development and maintenance of existing COBOL-based mainframe applications Support in the transformation and modernization of the application landscape toward cloud-based platforms Close collaboration with the Head of IT Operations and international development teams Development and customization of programs in the IBM mainframe environment Conducting code reviews, testing, and error analysis Support in migrating applications to modern technologies (e.g., Several years of experience in COBOL development Strong knowledge of the IBM mainframe environment NET and/or C# Teamwork skills and strong communication abilities in an international environment Experience in the banking or financial sector Experience with modernization projects (legacy * cloud / microservices)
