Infrastructure Engineer

1. Infrastructure Design & Deployment

• Define and implement engineering standards, configuration management processes, and technical rules.
• Build out deployment infrastructures and install/maintain cluster environments .
• Develop prototypes and deploy technical solutions in direct collaboration with business units.
• Lead technical transformation projects and contribute to architectural studies.

2. Operational Excellence & Automation

• Maintain the operational health of the infrastructure, including incident diagnosis and root-cause analysis.
• Automate recurring tasks and operational gestures to increase efficiency.
• Transition legacy activities toward an orchestrated, on-demand service model.
• Participate in performance audits and system tuning to optimize server environments.

3. Security, Risk & Continuous Improvement

• Manage infrastructure obsolescence and perform proactive risk remediation (Security & Continuity).
• Formalize procedural frameworks and operational documentation.
• Monitor industry trends to propose new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Manage technical relationships with third-party suppliers and optimize infrastructure costs.

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure.
• Master's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Core Technical Skills

• Advanced Windows Expertise: L3 support experience for Windows Workstation and Server in enterprise environments.
• Cloud Proficiency: Practical knowledge of IaaS and PaaS models.
• Engineering Mastery: Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Scripting: Strong PowerShell automation skills.
• Security: Solid understanding of IT and Cyber Security principles.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with SQL, SCCM, and Active Directory / DNS .
• Familiarity with NAS, FaaS , and Orchestration tools.

Business & Process Knowledge

• Strong alignment with ITIL frameworks (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
• Experience defining KPIs and managing production operations.
• Ability to work within an Agile Way of Working (WoW) .

Soft Skills & Workplace Expectations

• Communication: Good command of English (written/verbal); knowledge of Dutch or French is a significant plus.
