Job description

Design user friendly web and mobile application that will be build using modern front-end frameworks. This involves simple and complex input and visualization screens, depending on the business requirements.

Work in a team with front-end developers, backend developers & project managers on various projects. Cooperate with domain experts and business analysts.

Establish and document general UI/UX design principles and guidelines for our department in alignment and cooperation with the global DHL UI/UX team.

Participate in the creation of user stories.

Create high fidelity mock-ups and/or prototypes.

Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, the voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback and usability findings.

Communicate with product and engineering teams, as well as business stakeholders and executive leadership.
Requirements
- Is able to both work independent and in team context. Our UI/UX team is responsible for the application designs in our portfolio but has to align with the global DHL UI/UX team.
- Extensive experience in converting functional requirements into screen designs and user flows that allow for a fluent user experience and efficient management of business processes and data. This will range from simple to complex business processes.
- Extensive experience in creating designs and user flows in cooperation with product teams, business analysts and engineering teams.
- Extensive experience in creating mockups that increase the productivity of the engineering teams.
- You are able to motivate your design & user flow decisions and present them to different audiences. You are not afraid of challenging stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of UI/UX design patterns and the ability of distributing this knowledge to engineering teams.
- Experience in designing complex input and visualization screens involving a variety of data input components (autocomplete, picklist, ...), data presentation components (table, tree, tree table, charts, ...) and screen layouts.
- You work on a daily basis with prototyping/design tools like Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe CC, ... We use Figma for prototype design.
- Experience with web, mobile & responsive design.
- Experience in creating a consistent user experience.
- Experience in creating user stories.
- Experience in user research and user testing, creating user personas and gathering data to make informed design decisions.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment. Focus on meeting deadlines when needed.

What are great skills to have?
- Experience with Atlassian Tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo)
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and CSS based technologies.
- Familiarity with limitation of front-end frameworks such as Angular & React.
- Understanding of the entire web application development process (design, development and deployment).
- Awareness of micro front-end solutions.

Mobile Work Policy
Everyone is required to work in the office for at least 3 days a week, also if a vacation is taken for the 2 other days of the week. As of January working fulltime in the office might be required
