Job description
- you will develop and implement computational methods for multi-modal data integration, combining histopathological imaging data with (spatial) omics, as well as clinical data to dissect interactions between tumor and microenvironment in kidney cancer;
- you will collaborate with other project partners to generate actionable clinical insights;
- you will communicate findings in meetings, publications, and international conferences.
Requirements
Within a large European research project on immunotherapy response in kidney cancer, we are now looking for a highly motivated, to join our team. The position can be filled at either PhD or postdoctoral level. The remuneration will be according to qualifications and based on TV-L., * academic degree (MSc/PhD) in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, bioinformatics, informatics, computational sciences);
- strong proficiency in machine learning and statistics;
- strong proficiency in Python and/or R;
- familiarity with working in a Linux/Unix environment;
- fluency in English (both written and spoken);
- excellent communication and teamwork skills in an interdisciplinary environment.
Desirable qualifications:

prior experience in deep learning approaches for omics and/or imaging data;

experience working in a translational research environment.
