Job description

  • Manage and support internal IT systems while monitoring health and stability
  • Respond to alerts and implement security controls, maintaining compliance with internal standards
  • Assist clients in implementing technical fixes following assessments

Requirements

  • Must possess UK Government SC clearance eligibility (ILR or British Passport)
  • Extensive experience in 3rd Line Support
  • Strong knowledge of internal IT systems, including desktop, server, network, and cloud environments
  • Proficient in administering Linux and Microsoft operating systems
  • Familiarity with network and systems management tools
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining robust security controls across IT infrastructure
  • Skills in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, networks, and applications
  • Ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation and procedures
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Intune (MDM)
  • Proficiency in Windows Server & Linux (Debian/Ubuntu/RHEL or similar)
  • Understanding of Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Experience with firewall and network security technologies (e.g. Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto)
  • Competence in handling VPN and remote access solutions
  • Familiarity with ticketing and ITSM platforms (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, Freshdesk)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
