Job description

  • Providing expert support for storage solutions (Dell Avamar, Data Domain) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems (Microsoft, Thales)
  • Responding to escalations from 2nd Line and managing incidents via the Incident Process
  • Supporting and maintaining PKI and storage solutions, including travel to other sites
  • Conducting readiness assessments for new releases and producing detailed documentation
  • Monitoring systems using Event Management tools (e.g., SCOM) and executing planned activities through Change Management processes
  • Supporting backup and storage operations, ensuring system integrity and security

  • Windows, We are a reputable organisation committed to building trust through innovation, seeking a dedicated 3rd Line Storage & PKI Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Basingstoke. This role is critical for supporting high-security government systems, and we offer a collaborative, evolving environment where you can make a real difference. The position is initially for 6 months with a possible extension, offering a rate of up to £500 per day via an approved umbrella company. Candidates must be willing and eligible to undergo high security clearance.

Requirements

  • Experience with storage solutions such as Dell Avamar & Data Domain
  • Knowledge of Public Key Technologies (Microsoft, Thales)
  • Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure Storage and VMware cloud technologies
  • Understanding of ITSM processes and server administration (e.g., Windows Server)
  • Proficiency with Event Management tools (e.g., SCOM) and VMware vCenter (use, not administer)
  • Ability to work shifts (0700-1500 & 1100-1900) on a rotating basis
  • DV clearance is essential; Purple clearance is required for this role
