Job description
The Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition role supports the AI team by managing data collection processes critical for model training. This position is essential for building and maintaining large-scale datasets through a combination of infrastructure, engineering, and research collaboration. The role impacts the quality and scale of AI models, enabling the development of next-generation consumer and enterprise products.
- Responsibilities:

Identify and acquire new audio data sources for ingestion pipelines

Operate and enhance cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform

Work closely with scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality for AI models

Collaborate on the AI team's dataset strategy to support upcoming products
Requirements

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of software development experience

Proficient in bash and Python scripting within Linux environments

Experience with Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code, and at least one major cloud provider (preferably GCP)

Familiarity with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- The United States base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 to $200,000 plus bonus and equity, depending on experience
