Job description

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, and cloud integrations).
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
  • Implement and maintain network security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business applications and cloud technologies.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization of network systems.
  • Perform and analyze Wi-Fi site surveys.
  • Manage vendor relationships, evaluate new technologies, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and IT staff.
  • Document network configurations, diagrams, and operational processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalation support as needed.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or related roles.
  • Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, STP, VLANs, QoS, MACsec, etc
  • Proven and documented experience designing Cisco networks and enterprise-grade infrastructure.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (required).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills., experience with VISIO etc
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification.
  • Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.).
  • Knowledge of security technologies (Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, etc.)
  • Knowledge of network automation technologies (Ansible, Puppet, etc)
