Job description
You will be the Systems Engineer Senior for the Common Stim team which is responsible for managing multi-spectral lab stimulator procurement activities across Lines of Business used in the development of real-time simulation systems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Systems Engineer Senior you will be responsible for serving as the technical bridge between simulation lab teams and external hardware suppliers, ensuring stimulator systems meet program requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Procure Electronic Warfare, RADAR, Communication, Navigation & Interrogation, and EO/IR stimulator subsystems.
- Develop subsystem requirements and translate laboratory customer needs into clear specifications for suppliers.
- Manage requirements change implementation between internal engineering teams and external product suppliers.
- Support system integration and verification of new capabilities in hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) simulation environments.
- Plan component obsolescence, resolve anomalies, and develop proposals and requests for proposals.

Experience in defense or other complex, regulated industries is a plus., MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Experience in leading the implementation of Systems Engineering practices including requirements development, system design, integration, and/or verification

Experience working with external suppliers or cross-organizational technical teams Desired Skills:

Degrees preferred: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related technical discipline

Experience in the development lifecycle of hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) or real-time simulation systems

Experience with functional and interface knowledge on one or more of the following (or analogous commercial equivalents): RADAR, Electronic Warfare, Communications/Navigation/Identification (CNI), RF systems, infrared/EO sensors, and avionics subsystems

Experience managing technical supplier relationships through a full development lifecycle

Familiarity with Radio-Frequency (RF) and Infrared (IR) Engineering

Familiarity with F-35 Mission Systems Architecture and subsystems

Working knowledge regarding military threat analysis or defense simulation environments

Experience in development and execution of System Test Procedures

Experience in delivering products to external customers

Experience writing or contributing to proposals and Global Supply Chain Request for Proposal (RFP)s

Experience using the DOORS requirements management tool (or similar requirements management tools)

Experience using JIRA for workflow management (or similar workflow tracking tools)

Demonstrated experience in detail planning including task decomposition, estimating, and scheduling (MS Project or similar) Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years, Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
