Job description

  • Retrieve, organize, and/or analyze data to support life-cycle maintenance and modernization efforts from various Government databases
  • Support development, validation, refinement, and/or cost-benefit analyses of existing or proposed maintenance and modernization requirements to include assisting in Reliability Centered Maintenance related tasks
  • Identify and track cost savings, cost avoidances, or cost increases that affect the operating and support (O&S) costs of aircraft carriers
  • Support the development of the Technical Foundation Paper (TFP) and other documentation to support and defend Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submittals
  • Retrieve, organize, and/or analyze maintenance/modernization and/or cost (labor and materials) data for aircraft carrier availability and submit findings for evaluation and action
  • Support life cycle planning efforts, funding, and/or schedule development

Requirements

Imagine One is now interviewing for the position of mid-level Data Analyst. This position supports the US Navy at the Aircraft Carrier Planning Activity (CPA) at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia. The Data Analyst will be a part of a government/contract team that develops and executes aircraft carrier life cycle maintenance plans that enable the ships to achieve their 50-year design life. The individual will assist CPA with the manipulation and analysis of maintenance cost data. The individual must be capable of working independently on complex data analysis projects and must have good communication skills. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Virginia., * Five Years' Professional Experience

  • Maintenance and modernization of Navy ships, data management, and MS Office with emphasis on MS Excel

Other experience pertinent to the position that will distinguish a candidate (desired but not required):

  • Ship-wide knowledge of aircraft carrier systems (nomenclature, configuration, and principles of operation)
  • Working knowledge of the 3-M system
  • Understanding of Navy maintenance concepts such as the Navy Modernization Program and the Class Maintenance Plan (CMP)

Education Requirements:

  • Degree preferred, but not required

Security Requirements:

  • US citizenship
  • Secret clearance (at time of application)
