Job description
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to secure systems for the Department of Defense and support customers in the United States Army. This role involves implementing and validating security requirements, maintaining system configurations, and ensuring high availability of mission-critical resources. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly security clearance., * Implement and validate Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements for all projects.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows server and system configurations.
- Administer server-based systems, manage security posture, and perform systems monitoring.
- Create, update, and maintain documentation for technical processes and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to the configuration, integration, and maintenance of IT system resources, including hardware and software.
- Work with the SA Lead and Information Assurance Officer to ensure systems comply with cybersecurity regulations.
- Build, configure, monitor, and maintain virtual and backup environments.
- Troubleshoot VMware vSphere, Storage platforms, Active Directory, and DNS issues.
- Optimize system operations and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Requirements
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly security clearance or higher.
Experience: Approximately 2-4 years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated experience installing, administering, and configuring Windows Server.
- Experience managing and configuring virtual environments such as ESXi.
- Experience with installing and configuring Microsoft IIS.
- Familiarity with implementing DISA STIGs and using STIG Viewer.
- Familiarity with the DOD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) process.
- Knowledge of system and data backup and recovery procedures.
- Security+ Certification (COMPTIA or other).
Preferred Qualifications
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Infrastructure technologies.
- Experience with McAfee ePO technologies.
- Experience with AWS cloud/VM Solutions.
Benefits & conditions
The anticipated salary for this position is between $90,000.00 and $100,000.00 annually. The anticipated pay rate for this position is between $40.00 and $50.00 per hour. Please note that the final salary and pay rate may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, skills, and geographic location.
