Azure SQL / SQL Server Database Administrator

Our client is looking to augment their team with an experienced Senior Azure Cloud DBA to assist in the implementation of their cloud-based systems used by large corporations.

This is a "best of all worlds" type of opportunity, working alongside highly-skilled resources, within a specialized technology division of a larger company, providing solutions to Fortune 500 companies.

We are looking for flexible resources on this one that can work independently as well as collaboratively, hands-on implementation required, design/architect/lead skills a plus.

• 5-10+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Sever design/implementation/maintenance
• Experience with both Azure SQL and SQL Server a must (Cosmo DB a plus)
• Creation/configuration/administration of SQL Servers in a virtual environment
• Experience with Database migration from SQL Server VM's to Azure
• Management of large and growing databases (TB+)
• Experience with Monitoring, performance tuning, SQL Server indexing and D/R strategies, etc.
