Job description

Are you someone who loves improving development pipelines, enabling smoother releases, and helping teams work more efficiently? This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience across modern DevOps practices-particularly those involving Salesforce and Azure DevOps. You might be a Salesforce DevOps practitioner looking to broaden your remit, an established DevOps Engineer stepping into Salesforce, or an experienced CI/CD specialist excited to make a meaningful impact.

A bit about the job:

You'll be part of our Salesforce capability within Aviva, contributing to the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable digital solutions used across the organisation. Your focus will be on building, maintaining, and continually improving our DevOps pipelines-spanning both Salesforce development and ADO-based workflows-to ensure teams can deliver changes safely, quickly, and consistently.

You'll collaborate with developers, administrators, product teams, and operations colleagues to ensure that changes are well tested, tracked, and deployed with minimal disruption. Your work will reduce manual effort, strengthen our release confidence, and enhance how we manage change across multiple platforms.

Requirements

  • Strong DevOps experience, with hands-on skills in both Salesforce (e.g., Salesforce CLI, DevOps Center, metadata deployment tools) and Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, automation), plus exposure to tools such as Copado, Gearset, GitHub, and Jenkins. Experience with some or all of these would be a distinct advantage.
  • Proven ability to build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines, including automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Solid understanding of version control practices (Git) and effective branching strategies.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery models (Scrum, SAFe) with a good understanding of change management principles.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to simplify technical topics and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
