Job description
Do you want to be part of a growing AI Engineering team where you can shape solutions, experiment with new ideas and help others grow along the way?
As a Senior AI Engineer, you'll play a key role within our Data and AI Practice, contributing to the design, development and delivery of AI-powered solutions for a range of secure and high-impact clients. You'll work closely with other engineers, architects and stakeholders, getting involved from the early stages of projects through to delivery. This is a hands-on engineering role, offering plenty of variety, from proof of concepts through to production-ready solutions.
We can offer great career progression opportunities, the ability to be based anywhere across the UK, benefits which you can flex to meet your needs, and training and development opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
- Contributing to the development and delivery of AI solutions and AI agents, ensuring outcomes meet time, cost and quality expectations.
- Designing, building and improving autonomous and conversational agents using modern AI and agent-based architectures.
- Applying robust engineering practices to reduce technical risk and manage technical debt in AI and agent-based systems.
- Exploring and applying emerging AI technologies, frameworks and best practices to deliver innovative solutions.
- Supporting the deployment of scalable and reliable AI solutions using cloud-native engineering approaches.
- Sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues and contributing positively to the wider AI Engineering community.
What you'll bring:
- A strong understanding of AI, machine learning and agent-based AI concepts, including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), multi-agent systems and conversational agents.
- Experience developing AI solutions using programming languages such as Python, or similar languages used in AI engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AI and agent frameworks such as Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Autogen Agents, Amazon Q, LangChain, LangGraph or similar platforms.
- The ability to analyse, evaluate and optimise agent behaviour and AI system performance.
- Experience delivering solutions using cloud platforms and cloud-native delivery techniques.
- Experience measuring, validating and proving the effectiveness of AI systems in real-world environments.
It would be great if you had:
- Exposure to low-code or no-code automation and orchestration tools used alongside AI solutions.
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments.
If you're interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we're looking for, please do apply, we'd love to hear from you!
