Job description
- Assists with technical application of Sales opportunities
- Positions and presents information of company product offerings
- Builds technical relationships with new or existing customers
- Develops and delivers product presentations and demonstrations
- Develops and delivers technical training to technical support engineers
- Develops and delivers technical application notes and MOP (Method of Procedure)
- Develops SOW (Scope of Work) procedures and documents
- Review Engineering Technical Datasheets, Manuals and application notes for accuracy
- Offers subject expertise at internal and external customer facing events
- Supports Sales Team by responding to customer's request for information (RFI) through providing datasheets, manuals, technical data, etc
- Supports Sales Team by responding to Request For Proposal (RFP) or Request For Quote (RFQ) from customers by generating system diagrams and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Perform cross departmental communications (liaison) to expedite customer solutions
- Provide weekly updates on special projects
- Handle special assignments to support projects
- Collaborates with Sales to culminate opportunities into a Sale Engage in customer-facing activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- 3+ years of experience in sales engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of Fire Alarm experience
- Strong technical background in application and systems engineering
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
