This position is needed to drive advanced analytics and data science solutions that optimize sales performance and enable data-driven decision-making across the Go-To-Market organization.
As a Staff Data Scientist, you will accelerate growth and efficiency in Twilio's sales efforts by building predictive models, improving measurement frameworks, and surfacing actionable insights. Working within a centralized enterprise technology team, you'll partner closely with marketing and sales, collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and fellow data scientists to create high-impact solutions that power Twilio's go-to-market strategy and business decisions.
Responsibilities
In this role, you'll:
- Design, implement, and deploy predictive models and algorithms to inform sales strategies and drive measurable improvements.
- Develop and maintain robust dashboards and analytics tools using SQL and business intelligence platforms such as Looker or Tableau.
- Collaborate with go-to-market partners, including sales and marketing, to identify high-impact data science opportunities.
- Communicate complex analyses and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including presenting to executives.
- Continuously refine metrics, measurement frameworks, and data pipelines to optimize accuracy and efficiency., A: In office. B: Specific areas, such as East Coast, West Coast, Country wide, Tier 1, etc. C: Hiring in Tier 3 only. D: Hiring in Tiers 2 & 3

- Expert-level SQL skills and dashboarding proficiency (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- Advanced programming experience in Python or R.
- Deep experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive-facing presentations.
- Experience supporting Go-To-Market (GTM) and Sales organizations.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex problems and deliver actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners including engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
Desired:
- Familiarity with productionizing machine learning models in cloud environments.
- Experience with Git version control and workflow best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization and feature engineering.
- Experience working in enterprise B2B SaaS environments.
- Expertise in mathematical optimization and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with generative AI and deep learning approaches.
- Experience influencing senior leadership and driving organizational change through analytics.
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $155,520.00 (Developing Minimum for Tier 3) - $194,400.00 (Mid for Tier 3).
- Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $164,640.00 (Developing Minimum for Tier 2) - $205,800 (Mid for Tier 2).
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $182,960.00 (Developing Minimum for Tier 1) - $228,700.00 (Mid for Tier 1).
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
