We are seeking a Permanent Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This role is perfect for an individual who thrives on challenges, is highly detail-oriented, and has a solid understanding of tax laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including S Corporations, Corporations, and Individual income tax clients.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and reviewing complex corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns.
- Conducting tax research and planning to optimize tax strategies for clients.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for clients.
- Keeping abreast of current developments in tax laws to provide timely and accurate advice to clients.
- Providing guidance to junior staff and overseeing their work for quality and accuracy.
- Liaising with tax authorities and providing tax audit support for clients.
- Collaborating with other team members to provide superior client service.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of complex tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Associate position will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or a related field.
- Expertise in S Corp, Corporations, Income Tax, Individual, Corporate Tax Returns, and Tax Accounting.
- A proven track record of managing multiple client engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and technology.
