Job description

This role owns end-to-end solution architecture across the Fiber platform ecosystem, including integrations with T-Mobile enterprise systems and third-party partners. It leads the design of cohesive, reusable, and future-ready solutions that support rapid product innovation while maintaining operational excellence and architectural integrity.

Operating within a business-driven environment, the Architect applies strong systems thinking to align evolving product requirements with long-term platform strategy. The role challenges assumptions, promotes reusable design patterns, and facilitates informed trade-off decisions to ensure technology investments accelerate business growth, improve customer experience, and reduce operational risk.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead end-to-end solution design across multiple domains to deliver cohesive and practical technology solutions
  • Drive technical design processes and architectural tradeoff discussions to ensure alignment with standards and strategies
  • Develop and maintain architectural artifacts and enforce design standards to support solution quality and consistency
  • Engage with senior management to align technical solutions with business objectives and translate requirements into designs
  • Evaluate third-party products to determine suitability for integration into organizational technology solutions
  • Understand and analyze business processes related to assigned projects to align technical solutions effectively
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Leadership: Provide technical leadership across broadband architecture initiatives, guiding cross-functional teams through design, development, and deployment
  • Software Development: Drive end-to-end software development efforts, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performance system solutions
  • Process Management: Establish and optimize process management frameworks to improve delivery efficiency, quality, and operational consistency
  • Analytics: Leverage advanced analytics to inform architectural decisions, capacity planning, and performance optimization
  • Problem Solving: Apply strong problem-solving skills to diagnose complex system issues, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience. Acceptable areas of study include Computer science or related discipline. Technology certifications (such as Java, Microsoft, Oracle) a plus
  • 7+ years in business environment.
  • 7+ years as a software or systems architect, engineer, programmer.
  • 4+ years in B2C online e-commerce systems architecture and design, preferably with background in IBM WebSphere Commerce.
  • 4+ years in web experience management technologies included but not limited to self-services, content management, search, analytics, and marketing automation preferably with knowledge in Adobe CQ5.
  • 4+ years in architecture and design of mobile web applications included responsive design and hybrid model for device native applications.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
