Mr-Senior Data Engineer

• Design, build, and optimise data solutions on Databricks, focusing on reliable ingestion, transformation, and analytics use cases
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to business and IT stakeholders, explaining platform capabilities, trade-offs, and best-fit technical solutions
• Translate data and analytics requirements into practical, scalable implementations within the existing data ecosystem
• Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape data platform evolution, with an eye on performance, cost, and maintainability
• Support data consumers (analytics, reporting, data science) by delivering high-quality, well-documented datasets
• Collaborate closely with other data engineers, analysts, and solution architects to ensure alignment and reuse of best practices, * Advisory mindset - comfortable challenging assumptions and guiding stakeholders towards realistic, value-driven solutions
• Communication - able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Several years of experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer (medior-senior level)
• Strong, hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, notebooks, orchestration, optimisation)
• Very good command of Python and SQL for data transformation and analysis
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (preferably Azure) and data lake / lakehouse concepts
• Solid understanding of batch processing; exposure to streaming is a plus
• Experience with BI and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI) is an asset
