Job description
Criterion is seeking a Mid-Level UI Artist (Temporary) to support the creation of high-quality, immersive interfaces that enhance gameplay clarity and presentation. This role focuses on hands-on production, collaboration, and delivering polished UI assets within an established visual direction.
Reporting to the Presentation Director, you will work closely with UX, design, and engineering to execute interface systems and in-game overlays to a high standard., * Create production-ready UI art assets for in-game interfaces and overlays.
- Translate UX wireframes and flows into polished, visually cohesive designs.
- Ensure visual consistency across interface elements in line with established style guides.
- Produce motion and feedback elements that support usability and player clarity.
- Prepare and optimize assets for implementation in-engine.
- Iterate quickly based on stakeholder and usability feedback.
Requirements
- Experience contributing UI art to a shipped game (AAA preferred).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI and graphic design execution.
- Proficiency in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Figma.
- Solid understanding of typography, layout, color, visual hierarchy, and motion principles.
- Experience working within game engines for UI assets and layouts.
- Ability to work efficiently within an established visual framework.
