Job description
We are seeking two experienced Windows Engineers to support a modernization staffing plan. The roles will focus on managing and automating on-premise and cloud infrastructure, with a special emphasis on Windows environments. The positions involve internal audit, compliance management, and working with both Windows and Linux systems in a hybrid cloud environment. One position will be a Lead (Associate Director level) and the other a Senior Associate (SME)., * Manage and automate Windows environments using SCCM for delivery, automation, and patching.
- Architect and automate the delivery of Windows services within AWS.
- Handle internal audit and compliance tasks, ensuring systems meet all requirements.
- Oversee OS version upgrades, such as from RedHat 7 to 8/9, ensuring application compatibility and performance.
- Manage virtualization (VMware) and storage (SAN, NAS) infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues across both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Address vulnerabilities and manage system access to maintain a secure and supported environment.
For Lead Windows Engineer
- Lead a team of Windows engineers while remaining deeply hands-on in architecture, troubleshooting, and delivery.
- Set technical direction for Windows OS engineering, SCCM modernization, and Cloud-First transformation.
- Act as the escalation point for complex OS, SCCM, authentication, and networking issues.
Requirements
- Deep technical expertise in Windows SCCM, patching, and OS delivery.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex OS, networking, and authentication issues.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible).
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Windows SCCM for automation, patching, and delivery.
- Proficiency in AWS architecture, service offerings, and automating OS delivery in the cloud.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and its role in audit and compliance.
- Experience with networking concepts from an OS perspective, including VLAN configuration.
- Familiarity with both on-premise data center and cloud environments.
- Experience with RedHat packaging and delivery in AWS.
Benefits & conditions
The anticipated salary for a permanent position is between $150,000 and $160,000 annually, with a potential 20% bonus. The contract pay rate is projected to be between $70.00 and $85.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
