Job description
You will be the Software Configuration Management (SCM) Engineer for the Product Engineering & Integration Team. Our team delivers cutting edge aerospace systems by tightly controlling hardware and software baselines, managing change, and ensuring every release meets the highest security and quality standards. What You Will Be Doing As the SCM Engineer you will be the guardian of product integrity, coordinating all configuration control activities across hardware, software, and documentation. Working hand in hand with engineers, quality, manufacturing, and external partners, you'll design and run the processes that keep our programs on schedule and compliant. Your responsibilities will include: * Plan, execute, and continuously improve end to end software and hardware configuration management processes.
- Create and maintain change order procedures, authorizations, and documentation for both internal teams and subcontractors.
- Analyze proposed hardware/software design changes, predict system wide impact, and produce clear change effect reports.
- Record, track, and report configuration status accounting to ensure full traceability and compliance with security regulations.
- Coordinate engineering change data with quality, support, manufacturing, and data control groups, driving timely implementation of customer requirements.
- Manage release engineering tasks, guaranteeing that new software product parameters are fully documented and validated.
- Build, automate, and sustain productivity tools (scripts, databases, or small applications) that streamline SCM workflows.
- Leverage Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, GitLab/GitHub to track work, manage backlogs, and maintain version control.
- Serve as the primary interface between cross functional leads, engineers, and external contacts, fostering collaboration and on time delivery.

Further Information About This Opportunity: This position is in Orlando, FL. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess a current Secret security clearance.
Requirements
Active Secret Clearance with current 5-year investigation. -Experience in chairing Software Engineering Boards. -Experience in document release and CDRLs/SDRLs processing. -Experience with writing code and scripting. -Familiarity with markings, formatting and handling of documentation. -Possess knowledge MS office Software and other software applications. -Possess strong written and oral communication skills. -Bachelors or Master's Degree from an accredited university (preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Computer Information Technology degree or related discipline). -Must have at least 3 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree. Desired Skills: -Develops solutions to assigned technical problems of limited scope which require ingenuity and innovation. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse technical and business personnel. -Experience in DBA tasks to query and extract data required for metrics reporting. -Experience in writing technical documentation. -Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, GitLab/GitHub, etc.). -Experience with configuration status accounting and tools. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years
