Job description
- Perform remediation of CIS benchmark and advanced VM configuration issues across a large-scale VMware environment
- Execute patching activities, system updates, and VM power operations during scheduled maintenance windows (primarily nights)
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerCLI, PowerShell, or Python to streamline remediation processes
- Implement and support secure configurations including UEFI, Secure Boot, and certificate management
- Collaborate with UAT and Production teams to align with change management and maintenance procedures
- Enhance system observability, monitoring, and alerting for improved VM performance and visibility
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware technologies including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerCLI, PowerShell, or Python
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments (thousands of VMs preferred)
- Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks, security hardening, and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently during night and after-hours schedules
