Enhanced Focus Areas: This position specifically emphasizes engineering the approach for executing M&S software in a DevSecOps environment. As a Software Systems Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: * Developing containerization and deployment pipelines for M&S software.

• Capture requirements for existing MS&A tools like AFRL's AFSIM, or SMDC's EADSIM to execute in a cloud/containerized environment
• Automate provisioning and configuration of build/test environments for Linux and Windows.
• Test and benchmark the execution of software in a DevSecOps environment
• Prepare and present reports, briefings, and conclusions
• Brief and interact with senior-level officers (i.e., GO/FLAG) and senior civilians

• Lead requirements development and documentation for distributed M&S architectures Job Requirements * U.S. Citizenship * A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related STEM field (master's degree highly preferred)
• 5+ years software engineering, networking engineering, or infrastructure engineering including hardware/software integration
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in at least one of the following: Software engineering Cloud architecture Network and IT systems engineering Technical Skills Required * Experience in Java, C++, python, typescript or a closely related language
• Proficient with shell scripting languages like Bash, AWK, sed, Perl, Python
• Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data
• IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and config management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, DSC).
• Linux and Windows server hardening & compliance (RMF/STIG).
• Expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
