Network Engineer

Description We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a long-term contract position within the chemicals manufacturing industry, offering a dynamic environment to apply your expertise in network infrastructure and security. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing network systems while ensuring seamless connectivity and robust security protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage Cisco routers and switches to maintain efficient network operations.

• Implement and troubleshoot Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls to ensure secure data exchange.

• Administer and monitor Cisco ASA systems to enhance network reliability and security.

• Manage and optimize Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations for effective routing and connectivity.

• Utilize Cisco Networking solutions to maintain scalable and secure network infrastructures.

• Deploy Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) for streamlined network management.

• Analyze and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and enhance performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network improvements.

• Conduct regular assessments of network security and performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting processes for future reference. Requirements * Proven experience with Cisco routers, switches, and networking systems.

• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA for network security.

• Expertise in configuring and managing Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).

• Familiarity with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.

• Excellent understanding of network security protocols and best practices.

• Strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
