Job description
We are is seeking a Software Engineering Director who can set a company-wide example of how to lead individual contributors as they plan work, execute daily tasks, and improve operations so that the team can produce consistent, predictable output. They are expected to demonstrate the highest standards of personal accountability, communication, integrity, and collaboration. They are data-driven in their approach to problems and decisions, are always looking for ways to improve the way things are done, and they instinctively lead making these changes happen. The ideal candidate is a player-coach -- When not coaching and mentoring the people on their team, they are rolling up their sleeves and contributing their technical expertise in furtherance of our mission. They will work closely with other members of the management team, key business stakeholders, and senior technical staff across the organization to align on and deliver our ambitious strategy.
The Work itself:
- Lead an organization of highly capable software engineering professions in furtherance of a tokenized future of digital commerce.
- Continually invest in building a high-performing engineering organization focusing on people, process and technology
- Actively collaborate with cross functional leaders in defining product and technical roadmap.
- Deliver robust and scalable software services to production by leverage cutting edge technologies to while acting as a player-coach.
- Uphold the highest levels of application security standards by ensuring compliance with secure software development lifecycle best practices.
- Design new or improve existing processes using pragmatic data-driven decision making.
Essential Functions:
- Aligns enhancements and modifications to existing software coding standard processes and design specifications, across regions, and ensures they are aligned with current security standards
- Guides the implementation of automation to improve effectiveness and efficiencies of systems and tools across regions and supports development and implementation of new automation, identifying where investment will yield the greatest efficiencies
- Maintains communication with regional leadership across functions to monitor and direct the cadence of code reviews, on-call rotations, and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles
- Leverages back-end technical expertise on underlying systems/platforms across the organization to lead the development systematic improvements in processes to ensure the fulfillment of customer/business objectives
- Drive alignment and strategy across teams, regions, and functions, focus on long-term automation, efficiency, and global standards
- Lead at the highest level, influencing broad organizational and regional strategies
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of in-office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Requirements
10+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience, 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD The Skills You Bring

Benefits & conditions
The estimated salary range for this position is $207,500.00 to $ 332,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
