Job description
- Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
- Support batch processing, job scheduling, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning activities.
- Participate in mainframe modernization and cloud migration initiatives, including z-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
- Integrate legacy applications with modern technologies including APIs, JSON, microservices, Java, WebSphere, and MQ.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions.
- Support DevOps practices, application modernization strategies, and enterprise integration efforts.
Requirements
- Strong COBOL, JCL, and mainframe utilities experience.
- Hands-on experience with DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
- Knowledge of batch processing and scheduling tools.
- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of mainframe modernization and legacy system integration.
- Exposure to APIs, JSON, microservices, Java, Kubernetes, DevOps, WebSphere, and MQ.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience supporting enterprise modernization or migration projects.
- Familiarity with cloud-based or hybrid mainframe environments.
- Agile development experience preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
