Job description
The Junior DevOps Engineer supports the development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based and on-premise systems. Working as part of a collaborative team, this role focuses on implementing automation, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and assisting with system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate is developing proficiency in DevOps practices and tools while contributing to day-to-day operational success.\n \n \nResponsibilities\n \n \n
- Support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for application deployments \n
- Assist in automating infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation \n
- Monitor system performance, security, and availability, responding to alerts and resolving issues \n
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot build and deployment issues \n
- Maintain configuration management and version control best practices \n
- Document processes, procedures, and system configurations \n
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts \n
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements in deployment processes \n
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or Master's with <2 years. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.\n
- Basic experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) \n
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) \n
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python \n
- Understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration fundamentals \n
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) \n
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing) \n
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn \n
- Must have US Citizenship\n
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a customer specific public trust clearance\n, * Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) \n
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms \n
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) \n
- Knowledge of Agile or DevOps methodologies \n
