Job description

The Junior DevOps Engineer supports the development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based and on-premise systems. Working as part of a collaborative team, this role focuses on implementing automation, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and assisting with system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate is developing proficiency in DevOps practices and tools while contributing to day-to-day operational success., * Support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for application deployments

  • Assist in automating infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Monitor system performance, security, and availability, responding to alerts and resolving issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot build and deployment issues
  • Maintain configuration management and version control best practices
  • Document processes, procedures, and system configurations
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements in deployment processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or Master's with <2 years. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Basic experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration fundamentals
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker)
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Must have US Citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a customer specific public trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
  • Knowledge of Agile or DevOps methodologies
