Job description

As an ERP Systems Analyst, you will support and stabilize day-to-day Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and core business application operations, ensuring reliable transaction flow, accurate data integration, and timely resolution of routine operational issues. This role serves as the operational backbone for EDI and key enterprise platforms, including ERP and related applications, by owning repeatable processes, steady-state execution, and standardized support activities. It is not a system ownership or solution architecture role. By taking ownership of daily operational responsibilities across these systems, this position enables senior technical resources to focus on advanced integrations, system enhancements, and strategic initiatives, improving throughput, reliability, and business efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily EDI and ERP-integrated transaction activity (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents) to ensure successful end-to-end processing.

  • Investigate, triage, and resolve routine EDI, ERP, and application-level issues, escalating complex exceptions using defined procedures.

  • Support integration between EDI and ERP platforms, including data flow validation, issue identification, and coordination of fixes.

  • Manage trading partner onboarding, setup, testing, and maintenance, ensuring proper data mapping between external EDI documents (e.g., 850, 810) and internal ERP formats.

  • Assist with automation initiatives designed to reduce manual data entry, improve transaction accuracy, and accelerate business cycles.

  • Respond to and fulfill standard EDI and application support requests with consistency, accuracy, and attention to service levels.

  • Maintain documentation, procedures, and runbooks for EDI, ERP integrations, and supported applications to ensure repeatable execution and audit readiness.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, ERP/EDI vendors, and third-party providers (e.g., EDI service providers) to support connectivity, performance, and issue resolution.

  • Perform routine user and access administration for supported systems, following documented controls and approval processes.

  • Support basic system, data, and operational security tasks related to EDI, ERP integrations, and assigned applications.

  • Identify operational improvements related to transaction automation, performance optimization, and data reliability.

  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and attention to detail while consistently following defined operational and escalation processes.

  • Support and maintain key business systems and applications, including JD Edwards (ERP), BarTender, DSI, SQL-based systems and data sources, and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms.
