Job description

Provide warfighters with reliable strike planning and execution tools for Theater Missile Programs while modernizing and expanding beyond Tomahawk missiles. Our work includes developing and maintaining proprietary software, offering full lifecycle support from design to deployment, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards., Peraton is seeking a software tester with test automation experience who will work as part of an Agile development team on the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program, part of the Navy's Tomahawk Missile program. This role may have the ability to work in a hybrid capacity but primarly on-site in Lexington Park, MD, Santa Clara, CA or Reston, VA. If your loacted in VA you will have to travel to visit the customer site at Pax River.

Peraton develops several TMPC applications, providing support for tactical and training operations. Functions provided by these applications include mission planning; data distribution; strike planning, rehearsal, and coordination; strike execution, monitoring, and control; strike reporting; and communications configuration and data management/delivery.

What you'll do:

  • Learn program processes and procedures and learn system behavior
  • Learn test automation project conventions
  • Develop and execute automated tests, following project conventions, using Python and Selenium, integrating the tests into unclassified and classified pipelines
  • Collaborate with the TMPC Test Automation team for test design and peer reviews
  • Report test findings and document new errors per team/project conventions
  • Understand hardware configurations and applications/capabilities for each configuration
  • Provide or validate estimates for assigned tasks
  • Contribute to the evolution of the team/project standards and conventions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up)

Requirements

What you'll need:

  • Education: 2 years with a BS/BA, 0 years with MS/MA or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Clearance: active Secret clearance required
  • Experience developing automated tests using Python and Selenium, including in-depth knowledge of Python
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work within a collaborative team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools, including Azure DevOps (TFS)
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio or other IDE
  • An understating of software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile

Benefits & conditions

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
