Job description
- Analyze and document business and technical requirements for the application rewrite.
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to ensure software quality.
- Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Assist in interpreting legacy MS VBA code to understand existing workflows.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive system and user documentation, including process flows and user guides.
- Participate in an Agile development process, including sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support continuous improvement of testing methodologies and documentation standards.
- Assist in ensuring the application integrates effectively with enterprise systems.
Requirements
An opportunity is available for a detail-oriented Application Analyst to support the rewrite of a critical manufacturing software application. As a key member of the delivery team, you will analyze legacy source code and requirements, document existing processes, validate software functionality through testing, and produce comprehensive documentation. The objective is to ensure the resulting platform is high-quality, maintainable, and ready for long-term production use., Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
Experience: This role requires experience in application analysis, software testing, and technical documentation. A basic understanding of manufacturing environments and experience working in Agile development environments are also necessary.
Skills: Candidates must have familiarity with testing methodologies, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes. Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience working in manufacturing or engineering software environments.
- Experience with legacy system modernization, including MS VBA and SQL Server.
- Experience with Agile testing practices and tools.
- ISTQB Certified Tester or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certifications., This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, which necessitates a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62. A security clearance is not required for this role. The employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Compensation
The pay rate for this position is between $33.00 and $43.00 per hour. The bill rate for this position is up to $69.00 per hour.
