Job description
Responsible for designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, optimizing, and repairing of the global network infrastructure applicable to business requirements. You will be responsible for working with application groups to understand long term strategy and creating roadmaps. Responsibilities

Stays at the forefront of innovation by maintaining current knowledge of products, services, and market dynamics

24x7 support of plant operations in an onsite or off-hour capacity as needed.

Champion collaboration between IT and OT as applicable to business requirements, security, access, availability, and functionality.

Collaborate with cybersecurity to design and implement OT Security policies.
-
Participate fully in the build, configuration, and documentation of the network infrastructure.

Ensure adherence to network standards and service level objectives.

Assist in the management of Azure data center networking design and technical support.

Lead large scale projects from inception through completion.

Lead new circuit implementations / turn-ups.

Develop peer colleagues and foster inter-team collaboration within IT.

Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind networking (DNS, DHCP, IP Routing, Switching, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.).

Configuration and installation of vendor network appliances as requested by the business.

Design, install and configure routing/ switching/ 802.11 equipment.

Develop, implement, and administer plant\process Ethernet network comprised of Hirschmann, Palo Alto, Cisco, and other devices.

Manage Storage Area Networks (SAN) switching infrastructure with application specific equipment.

Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives and technical requirements in a timely and responsive manner.

Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors etc. to provide network infrastructure technical assistance and support.

Supervising the administration of systems and servers related networks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of services to authorized users.

Troubleshooting network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.

Working in a team environment, participate in build, configuration and troubleshooting of other sites as needed.

Requirements
-
Degree in Information Technology and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
5+ years of experience managing network infrastructure within a manufacturing environment is a plus
-
Demonstrated understanding of hardware and software, trouble ticketing systems, collaboration tools, etc.

Must be knowledgeable in new technologies, server operation, server operating systems and management applications.

Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail.

Cisco certification in routing and switching preferred
-
Understanding Hirschmann switching technology and certification is a plus
-
Experience in Palo Alto and certification is a plus
-
Experience in managing Meraki SDWAN/ Cisco Wireless / 5G is preferred

Understanding of PLC controls / programming manufacturing industry is a plus

Advanced ability to plan complex activities

Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center/DNA and Cisco ISE

Advanced ability to document process and workflows

Experience with monitoring tools (i.e Solarwinds)
Benefits & conditions
$94,000.00 - $147,950.00, parental leave, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) Apr 30, 2026, The salary range for this full-time position is $94,000.00 - $147,950.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
