Job description
Join ADT's engineering team to develop our next-generation, cloud-native monitoring platform that delivers real-time safety solutions for homes, people, and vehicles at scale. This position involves building mission-critical microservices, high-availability systems, and modern web applications that directly impact personal and property security. You will work with a cutting-edge technology stack and apply best practices in microservices architecture, CQRS, event-driven design, and cloud-native development., Architecture and Development
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant microservices
- Develop RESTful APIs aligned with OpenAPI standards and security best practices
- Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, RBAC)
- Build event-driven workflows for asynchronous processing
- Database & Infrastructure
- Design and manage schemas and migrations for PostgreSQL and Google Cloud Spanner
- Optimize queries and maintain data integrity across distributed systems
Front End Development
- Optimize queries and maintain data integrity across distributed systems
- Develop responsive, accessible UI components for React-based portals
- Work closely with Product Management, DevOps, QA, SecOps, and IT
- Additional duties as assigned
Skills and Competencies:
- Backend: NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, TypeORM
- Frontend: React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Spanner
- Cloud & Tools: GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Spanner), Docker, Bitbucket Pipelines, Vitest, Playwright
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with NestJS and REST API development
- Familiarity with React and modern frontend practices
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud services
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is $92,800 -$139,200 and is based on experience and qualifications.
Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
