Software Tech Lead, Google Photos

Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. We are dedicated to making Google experiences centered around the user.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Understand the system, do in-depth search, and deliver improvements.
• Translate ideas into functional demos, enable iteration, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with product, analytics, and privacy teams to refine requirements, define success metrics, and ensure responsible feature launches.
• Build adaptable and resilient code that can evolve alongside advancements in large language model (LLM) technology.
• Maintain standards to guarantee a reliable experience for users.

• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience with android application development.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

• Experience with Generative AI and LLMs.
