Job description
As a System Engineer, you will act as the internal expert for optics, lighting, and detection systems , working closely with teams across software, electronics, mechanics, and applications., * Design and model optical systems (lighting, sensors, camera setups)
- Perform simulations, ray tracing, and optical calculations
- Define and execute validation and test plans
- Select and evaluate components, suppliers, and technologies
- Document designs, analysis, and performance results
- Explore emerging technologies within optics, photonics, and machine vision
- Contribute to new concept development and innovation projects
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams
- Support internal stakeholders with technical expertise
- Contribute to design reviews and product development discussions
Requirements
- Master's degree in Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with optical design tools (e.g. Zemax, TracePro, LightTools)
- Strong understanding of imaging systems, lighting, and spectral analysis
- Solid background in simulations, ray tracing, and tolerance analysis
- Experience with optical measurement equipment is advantageous
- Exposure to machine vision, lasers, or hyperspectral imaging is a plus
- Basic CAD knowledge (e.g. SolidWorks or Creo) is beneficial
- Programming skills (Python or MATLAB) are an advantage
