Job description

  • Own and maintain server infrastructure across on-premises data centres and Azure cloud environments
  • Design and manage scalable Azure solutions including IaaS workloads and hybrid connectivity
  • Administer Windows Server services including Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Services
  • Lead vulnerability management, ensuring systems are patched and remediated in line with policy
  • Manage the MDM/endpoint management platform, ensuring consistent policy enforcement across all devices
  • Maintain BCDR capabilities, ensuring critical systems have adequate backup and DR protection
  • Proactively monitor infrastructure using enterprise tooling and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage the virtualisation environment to meet capacity, performance, and availability targets
  • Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota for critical incidents and emergency escalations

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience in an Infrastructure or Systems Engineering role within an enterprise environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud architecture, and cloud security best practices
  • Deep expertise in Windows Server 2016-2022 administration, hardening, and troubleshooting
  • Solid experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Services
  • Proven experience with vulnerability management tooling and driving remediation programmes
  • Experience managing MDM/endpoint management platforms
  • Strong understanding of BCDR principles and enterprise backup and replication solutions
  • Working knowledge of CIS benchmarks and ISO 27001
  • Experience working within ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure
