Job description
We're hiring a hands-on Engineering Leader to own and scale a critical cloud-based healthcare product, leading a team of 10-15 engineers while driving both technical direction and delivery.
This is not a "people manager only" role. We're looking for someone who still operates as a technical authority-leading architecture, guiding code quality, and setting engineering standards-while also owning team performance, hiring, and execution.

What You'll Do Lead and develop a team of 10-15 engineers (full-stack, backend, DevOps) Own technical direction, architecture, and delivery for a modern SaaS platform Drive code quality, design reviews, and engineering standards Partner closely with Product, Design, and Customer teams Manage full team lifecycle: hiring, performance, growth, and retention Balance feature delivery, scalability, and technical debt
Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude, etc.) Implement AI across: Code generation Testing Documentation Define best practices for secure and responsible AI usage Measure impact on velocity, quality, and developer experience
Requirements
10+ years in software engineering 5+ years managing teams of 8+ engineers Proven experience as a hands-on technical leader (not just a facilitator) Strong cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) Background in SaaS / distributed systems / APIs / microservices Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC2, etc.) Ability to own a product end-to-end, not just contribute
Nice to have: Experience building cloud-native healthcare platforms Startup or high-growth environment experience
