Job description
- Engage and consult with engineers on the implementation of engineering software solutions; assist programs in the use of and adoption of solutions and emerging technologies
- Manage installations and upgrades of engineering tools
- Deploy engineering applications. This includes software installations, configurations, integrations and user acceptance of the applications
- Provide general user support for engineering tools
- Set and manage customer expectations while ensuring priorities are optimally met
- Function as part of the virtual Support Service & Maintenance support team
- Support multiple customers and work within specific schedule and cost constraints
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience supporting tools for engineering disciplines (Software, System, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) such as (but not limited to) DevOPS Tools (Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Coverity, Artifactory), Matlab, DOORs, Cameo, Creo, Vivado, Ansys, LabView)
- Experience troubleshooting and solving complex engineering tool problems in a Windows, Unix, and/or Linux environment
- Experience applying principles and processes of software development
Qualifications We Prefer
- Understanding and implementation experience with AGILE software principles and/or SAFE
- System administration experience in Windows and/or Linux based system
- Experience deploying containers with Docker and Podman, and securing systems using CA Certificates and LDAPS
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface with senior engineering leaders and program management personnel
- Strong ability to interact productively with end users, analysts, and customers in a dynamic team setting, and work in virtual environment where team members are not co-located
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
